Class Albums
Class Albums consist of photographs of graduates, cadet classes, staff members,
scenic views, and other aspects of Academy life.
Photographs of West Point - Army Signal Corps
Official photographic work at the Academy was accomplished by an Army Signal
Corps photography laboratory established at West Point in the early days of World War II.
Photographs of West Point - William H. Stockbridge
William H. Stockbridge was an official photographer for the Military Academy.
Most of Stockbridge's photographs were taken during the first two decades of the
20th century, although he continued his work until the early 1930's.
USMA Class Rings
The tradition of class rings at American colleges and universities is believed to have originated at West Point when members of the class of 1835 designed their own rings, which were purchased at private expense and made to individual order.
West Point on Post Cards
This collection of vintage post cards recalls a time in the early 20th century when postcards were a much more
popular method of communication then they are now. Some of the scenes capture buildings that no longer stand,
others capture moments in the life of cadets that are curious by today’s standards. Taken as a whole, the post
cards are a valuable supplement to other collections of West Point scenes that are part of these digital collections.
